Last year Larry led the charge to bring the Lobster Boat Races back to Harpswell. Under his leadership the races raised and donated nearly $10,000 to the Harpswell Santa Fund and several other area service groups. Larry touched so many lives and warmed the hearts of everyone he met.
Because Larry was so passionate about healing and the ocean, donations may be made in his memory to Maine Medical Center, LVAD Program, ATTN: Philanthropy Dept., 22 Bramhall St.,Portland, ME 04102 or The 2019 Harpswell Lobster Boat Races, which will be held in his honor on July 28 in Potts Harbor. Donations may be sent to: Harpswell Lobster Boat Races, PO Box 111, Harpswell, ME 04079.
Some people knock on the door of our lives, come right in, make themselves right at home in our hearts and we are better - SO MUCH BETTER - for having them there.
At the rising of the sun and at its going down... we will remember you. At the flowing of the wind and in the chill of winter... we will remember you. At the opening of the buds and in the rebirth of spring... we will remember you. At the blueness of the skies and in the warmth of summer... we will remember you. At the rustling of the leaves and in the beauty of autumn... we will remember you. At the beginning of the year and when it ends... we will remember you. When we are weary and in need of strength... we will remember you. For you are now a part of us as we remember you.
Fair winds and following seas my dear friend Larry! You are loved and missed by so many people! Thank you for being you and for always being there for me and so many others!
Until we meet again!
